That Waterfall in Singapore Airport...
It’s not often I’d bother writing about an airport, but Changi Airport in Singapore is one of those rare exceptions. The Garden City was the second stop on our trip across Southeast Asia, but before we even set foot outside, we had one must-visit spot in mind! Officially known as the Rain Vortex, most people simply call it the waterfall—and for good reason. This 40-meter water feature is…

Part 1/7 of the Croatia vlog
hamzah x reader
fluffy
In the warmth of the room, sunlight filtered through the cracks in the blinds, casting a golden glow across the space. The sharp blare of an alarm shattered the quiet, echoing through the air.
I groaned as I reached over to silence the alarm. We still had an hohhur before we needed to leave for the airport, but Hamzah insisted on waking up early to double-check that we had everything. Yet, ironically, he was still fast asleep my baby blue acrylic nails traced lightly across his back as he slept, a gentle attempt to stir him awake.
He shifted slightly but didn’t wake, his breathing still slow and steady. Smirking to myself, I leaned in closer, brushing my lips against his shoulder. “Hamzah,” I murmured, my fingers trailing down his spine. “You’re the one who wanted to wake up early.”
A low groan escaped him as he buried his face deeper into the pillow. “Five more minutes,” he mumbled, voice thick with sleep. I rolled my eyes, shaking him gently. “If we miss our flight, it’s on you.”
He exhaled deeply before finally turning over, cracking one eye open to look at me. “You wouldn’t let that happen.”
I grinned. “You’re right. Now, get up.”
As Hamzah finally sat up, rubbing the sleep from his eyes, I reached over to grab my camera from the nightstand. With a quick tap, I started recording, adjusting the angle to capture both of us in the soft morning light.
“Good morning, guys!” I said, my voice still a little groggy but filled with excitement. “It’s officially travel day! We’re heading to Croatia, and guess who wanted to wake up early to make sure we had everything?” I turned the camera toward Hamzah, who groaned and ran a hand through his messy hair.
“This guy,” I teased, laughing.
Hamzah blinked at the camera before flopping back onto the bed. “Correction—I wanted to wake up early, but someone didn’t wake me up properly.”
I scoffed. “Excuse me? I tried. You just ignored me.”
He peeked at the camera with a lazy smirk. “Lies. Anyway, let me wake up properly, and we’ll start the day.”
I rolled my eyes but turned back to the camera. “Alright, guys, let’s get this day started! Croatia, here we come!”
With that, I ended the clip and set the camera down, nudging Hamzah again. “Come on, we have a flight to catch.”
I set the camera down on the nightstand and stretched before sliding out of bed. Hamzah was still waking up, so I figured I’d get a head start on my morning routine before we had to rush out the door.
Grabbing my toiletry bag, I padded into the bathroom and switched on the light, squinting at my reflection. My hair was a mess, and I had faint pillow creases on my cheek.
I turned on the faucet, letting the water warm up as I reached for my face wash. “Alright, step one—skincare,” I murmured, mostly to myself but also for the vlog. I picked up the camera and propped it on the sink, angling it just right.
“Okay, guys, time for my quick morning routine before we head to the airport,” I said, squeezing a bit of cleanser into my palm. As I massaged it into my skin, the cool sensation helped wake me up. I rinsed my face and patted it dry with a towel before grabbing my moisturizer.
“Never skip moisturizer, especially before a long flight,” I added, rubbing it in before reaching for my lip balm.
Once my skincare was done, I moved on to my hair, pulling it up into a loose bun before deciding I’d fix it properly later at the airport.
Next, I brushed my teeth, humming softly as I thought about the long travel day ahead. When I finished, I grabbed my camera still in my pjs which was just a shirt of Hamzah’s and some sleeping shorts,
“And that’s it! Now, let’s see if Hamzah is actually awake,” I said, smirking at the camera before heading back into the room. Sure enough, Hamzah was still sitting on the bed, scrolling through his phone, barely dressed.
“Seriously?” I laughed, pointing the camera at him. “You said you needed to wake up early, and yet here we are.”
He looked up at me, completely unbothered. “I’m awake. I’m just… processing life.”
“Right ok” I said handing the camera to Hamzah so I could get dressed
As I turned toward the closet, I heard him mumble something under his breath about how I was the real morning person of the two of us. I grinned but didn’t reply, focusing on pulling out a pair of comfy sweatpants and a cropped tank top from the closet.
I could hear Hamzah behind me, adjusting the camera’s angle, probably trying to get a good shot of my back while I got dressed. “burh I'm literally naked right now” I told him “They can’t see anything like i would let them see your tits” He smirked.
“I don’t like how you call them tits,” I muttered, Hamzah laughed. “I’m just trying to capture the real you”
I roll my eyes “Let’s see how you like it if i show a video of your ass cheeks” I turn to look at him.
Hamzah’s eyes widened, and he quickly raised the camera in defense, a mock look of horror on his face. “Hey, no need to threaten me like that!”
I smirked as I finished pulling my top on, crossing my arms. “You asked for it,” I teased, I walk over to him “Maybe I’ll just add a little extra footage of your ‘real you’ to the vlog.”
He laughed nervously, lowering the camera a bit. “Okay, okay, you win.”
I smiled, my eyes twinkling with mischief. “I know.” Leaning over, I gave Hamzah a quick peck on the lips before pulling back with a playful grin. grabbing the camera. “Mandy and Martin will be here to pick us up soon.”
As I turned the camera toward him, Hamzah was still lying on the bed, his legs sprawled out, looking more relaxed than ready to get moving. I positioned the camera to capture us both, my body positioned between his legs
“Now get up, boy, and get dressed,” I teased,
Hamzah groaned dramatically, still sprawled on the bed with a lazy smile on his face. “You’re lucky I love you,” he muttered, sitting up slowly and stretching his arms overhead, making a show of how hard it was to get moving.
I laughed, rolling my eyes. “Uh-huh, sure you do. Come on, the faster we get ready, the sooner we can get this trip started.”
I pointed the camera at him, capturing the moment as he sluggishly pulled on his t-shirt. “No more excuses, Hamzah. You’re a grown man—act like it,” I said with a teasing grin.
He shot me a side-eye, clearly pretending to be offended. “I’m just savoring the calm before the storm.”
“Well, you better savor it quickly, because we’re about to hit the road.” I gestured toward the door. “Get your stuff together, and let’s go. Time’s ticking.”
Hamzah gave me a mock salute, standing up . “Yes, ma’am. On it.”
I grinned, catching one last glimpse of him as he made his way to the bathroom. “That’s what I thought.”
I smirked, turning the camera back to myself as I walked over to double-check our luggage. “Alright, guys, progress is being made—slowly, but it’s happening. Hamzah is finally up and getting dressed, and I’m making sure we don’t leave anything behind.”
I panned the camera around the room, showing the neatly packed suitcases by the door. “Passports, check. Boarding passes, check. Camera gear, obviously check,” I said, flashing a grin. “Now, let’s see if Hamzah actually finishes getting ready before Mandy and Martin get here.”
Just as I was about to turn off the camera, Hamzah walked out of the bathroom, now fully dressed in sweatpants and a hoodie, rubbing his hands over his face to wake himself up before putting his glasses on.
I pointed the camera at him with a smug expression. “Look who finally decided to join us.”
He shook his head, grabbing his phone and wallet from the nightstand. “Remind me why I agreed to this again?”
I shrugged. “Because you love me. And because we’re about to go on an amazing trip to Croatia.”
Hamzah sighed, but I caught the small smile playing on his lips. “Yeah, yeah. Let’s just make sure we actually make it to the airport first.”
As if on cue, my phone buzzed with a message from Mandy. I glanced down at it and gasped. “They’re almost here!”
Hamzah raised an eyebrow. “And you were worried about me being slow?”
I quickly turned off the camera and rushed to grab my bag. “No time for sass—let’s go!”
Laughing, we hurried to grab our things, ready to start our adventure.
I slung my bag over my shoulder, grabbing the camera again as Hamzah picked up our suitcases. “Alright, guys, the moment of truth—will we make it downstairs before Mandy and Martin leave us behind?”
Hamzah scoffed as he wheeled his suitcase toward the door. “Mandy would never leave you behind. Me, on the other hand? She might consider it.”
I laughed, following him out of the room and into the hallway. “Well, I wouldn’t blame her. You did take your sweet time getting ready.”
He shot me a playful glare. “Keep talking, and I just might ‘accidentally’ forget your carry-on.”
I gasped dramatically, zooming in on his face with the camera. “You wouldn’t dare.”
Hamzah smirked, as he walked downstairs I trailed behind him. “Try me.”
I rolled my eyes but couldn’t help grinning. “Alright, guys, this is your daily reminder to never trust your travel partner.”
Hamzah chuckled. “Yet, somehow, you still love me.”
I turned the camera to myself, shrugging. “Questionable choices, I know.”
we walked out the door, I spotted Mandy and Martin standing outside their car, waiting by the curb. Mandy waved enthusiastically the moment she saw us, and I waved back, picking up the pace.
“Okay, okay, we’re here!” I called, laughing as I jogged toward them.
Mandy crossed her arms, giving me a knowing smirk. “Let me guess—Hamzah took forever?”
I pointed at him without hesitation. “Exactly.”
Hamzah groaned. “Wow, just throw me under the bus, why don’t you?”
Martin chuckled as he opened the trunk. “Don’t worry, man. We’ve all been there.”
I turned the camera to the car. “Alright, time to load up and head to the airport! Croatia, here we come!”
With that, we threw our bags in the trunk, hopped into the car, and officially kicked off our adventure.
As we cruised down the highway, I turned the camera back on, angling it toward the front seats. “I completely forgot to mention that Mandy and Martin are coming with us on this trip!”
“Alright, guys, we are officially on our way to the airport! Huge thanks to Mandy and Martin for not leaving us behind.”
Mandy smirked, glancing at me in the rearview mirror. “Oh, trust me, if you took any longer, we would’ve considered it.”
I gasped, feigning offense. “Wow, the betrayal!”
Hamzah laughed beside me, leaning back into his seat. “Honestly, I wouldn’t have blamed you. I was fully prepared for them to drive off without us.”
Martin chuckled, scrolling through his phone in the passenger seat. “You say that, but if we actually did, you’d be the first one calling, begging for us to turn around.”
Hamzah sighed dramatically. “Yeah, okay, fair point.”
I turned the camera back to myself. “So, we’ve got about a 30-minute drive to the airport. Let’s just hope we don’t hit any traffic because I am not trying to run through the terminal last minute.”
Mandy gave me a look. “You say that as if you’re not the one who always insists on stopping for snacks before boarding.”
I laughed. “Listen, airport snacks hit different, okay? Priorities!”
Hamzah nudged me playfully. “You just better hope they don’t start boarding while you’re off buying overpriced candy.”
I rolled my eyes but couldn’t help but grin. “Don’t worry, I’ve got my system down. Now, let’s enjoy this drive, and I’ll check back in once we get to the airport!”
I ended the recording, tucking the camera into my bag as I glanced out the window, excitement bubbling inside me.
As we drove down the highway, the energy in the car was a mix of excitement and slight exhaustion. Mandy had the music playing softly in the background, and I leaned back, watching the scenery blur past.
Hamzah let out a yawn beside me, stretching his arms. “I swear, I’m gonna sleep the entire flight.”
I looked at him “please don’t drool on me like last time” I said
Hamzah shot me a look, clearly offended. “First of all, that was one time.”
Mandy snorted from the driver’s seat. “One time too many.”
Martin chuckled. “Wait, wait—he drooled on you?”
I nodded dramatically, turning the camera to myself. “Oh, you guys have no idea. Last time we took a long flight, I woke up with his head on my shoulder and a whole puddle on my sleeve.”
Hamzah groaned, running a hand down his face. “Okay, you’re making it sound way worse than it was.”
Mandy glanced at me in the mirror. “Was it actually that bad?”
I zoomed in on Hamzah’s embarrassed face. “Let’s just say I had to change my hoodie mid-flight.”
Martin burst out laughing. “Man, you’re never living this down.”
Hamzah crossed his arms, slumping back in his seat. “Y’all are fake for ganging up on me like this.”
I grinned, reaching over to pat his arm. “We still love you. Just… maybe bring a napkin this time.”
He shook his head, muttering, “I hate it here,” while the rest of us laughed.
As the airport came into view, I turned the camera back on. “Alright, guys, we’re pulling up! Time to survive check-in, security, and hopefully not lose Hamzah in the process.”
Mandy pulled into the parking garage, and we all started grabbing our bags. Hamzah rolled his suitcase beside me, still pretending to sulk.
I nudged him. “Come on, grumpy, let’s go catch our flight.”
With that, we headed inside, ready for the next part of our adventure.
As we walked into the airport, the familiar hum of rolling suitcases, distant announcements, and chatter filled the air. I turned the camera on again, spinning it around to capture the bustling terminal.
“Alright, guys, we made it! Step one: check-in. Step two: security. Step three: pray we don’t get stuck next to a screaming baby on the flight.”
Mandy smirked. “Or worse—someone who takes their shoes off mid-flight.”
Martin shuddered. “That should be illegal.”
Hamzah, still holding onto his fake grumpiness, rolled his eyes. “Y’all worry about the wrong things. Meanwhile, I’m out here wondering if I’ll have enough legroom to actually sleep.”
I laughed. “Oh, don’t worry, I’ll wake you up if you drool on me again.”
He groaned. “I swear, I’m never living that down.”
We made our way to the check-in counter, where a friendly airline agent greeted us. After weighing our bags and getting our boarding passes, we moved on to security.
I turned the camera back on and whispered, “Okay, this is the part where we find out if Hamzah packed something suspicious in his bag again.”
He glared at me. “That was one time—and it was just a bottle of lotion that was slightly over the liquid limit!”
Mandy shook her head. “You really need to read the rules before we travel.”
As we placed our bags on the conveyor belt and stepped through the scanner, I held my breath, waiting to see if security would pull Hamzah aside.
The second his bag got flagged, I lost it.
I turned the camera to him as he sighed dramatically. “I hate it here.”
Martin patted his back. “You do this to yourself, man.”
Mandy and I exchanged looks, trying not to laugh as the security officer pulled him aside for a bag check. I whispered to the camera, “And this is why we get to the airport early.”
Hamzah leaned into the frame. “I am the victim here. TSA is out to get me.”
Mandy snorted. “Yeah, I’m sure they have a whole task force dedicated to catching you.”
I turned the camera to him. “Justice for Hamzah?”
Martin shook his head. “Nah, he brought this on himself.”
Hamzah groaned, leaning back in his chair. “I just wanna make it to Croatia without being publicly humiliated, is that too much to ask?”
I gasped dramatically. “Oh my god, do you think they have your face on a watchlist?”
Mandy’s eyes widened. “Like a ‘repeat offender’ list for people who can’t follow basic airport rules?”
He gets up and walks with the tsa people so they can check his bag.
A few minutes later, Hamzah finally rejoined us, looking thoroughly unimpressed.
“Okay, so apparently my bag was just flagged for ‘extra checking,’ and I got the all-clear. Nothing was in there,” he muttered, shoving his things back into his bag. “I swear, I’m cursed.
Mandy raised an eyebrow. “Wait, so nothing was actually wrong? You made us wait for nothing?”
I laughed, flipping the camera back on. “Classic Hamzah. Always making a drama out of nothing.”
Hamzah rolled his eyes. “Yeah, yeah, laugh it up. At least I didn’t actually get caught for something this time.”
Martin grinned. “I feel like the TSA is just messing with you now for the entertainment value.”
I zoomed in on his face, enjoying his misery. “We’ll see if they start following you every time you pass through security.”
Hamzah groaned. “This is it, I’m getting blacklisted.”
Mandy chuckled. “Let’s just make it to the gate without further incidents, okay?”
With security finally behind us, we made our way toward our gate. As we walked, I turned the camera on again. “Alright, guys, we’ve survived security without any embarrassing TSA incidents. Next stop: boarding the plane!”
Hamzah, now fully recovered from his earlier ordeal, gave me a half-hearted glare. “No promises. I’m still on edge.”
I grinned. “It’s all good. We’ll survive… just keep your liquids under control this time.”
As we approached the gate, we could hear the boarding announcement, and the excitement started to build again. “Alright, guys, this is it! We’re officially on our way to Croatia!” I said into the camera.
With that, we all grabbed our bags, ready to board the plane and start the next chapter of our adventure—no more TSA drama (hopefully).
We lined up at the gate, waiting for our group to be called for boarding. I turned the camera back on, aiming it at Hamzah, who was now pretending to examine his bag like it was a ticking time bomb.
“Alright, Hamzah,” I teased, zooming in. “Are you sure you don’t have any more ‘liquid’ issues? Need a TSA buddy to hold your hand?”
Hamzah rolled his eyes. “Don’t jinx it, I’m trying to stay calm.”
Martin chuckled, nudging him. “If the TSA stops you again, we’ll just say you’re carrying extra hair gel for the whole plane.”
I shook my head, grinning. “I think we’re good now, though. We’ve made it this far without any issues. Just don’t bring up the word ‘lotion’ for the rest of the trip.”
Mandy leaned over. “Yeah, if I hear the word ‘lotion’ one more time, I’ll lose it.”
We all laughed, enjoying the moment before the chaos of boarding began.
A few minutes later, our group was called, and we made our way onto the plane. I caught a quick shot of the cabin as we walked down the aisle, the excitement in the air palpable.
“Alright, guys,” I said, pointing the camera at our seats as we settled in, “next step—surviving this flight. We’re in the homestretch now, and Croatia is calling our names!”
Hamzah slumped into his seat beside me, leaning back with a sigh of relief. “Finally. No more security lines, no more stress. Just a nice, calm flight.”
“Yeah, until we have to deal with food choices,” I said, raising an eyebrow. “You are going to pick something other than just snacks this time, right?”
He shot me a look. “I’ve had my eye on that really questionable airplane pasta since we boarded.”
“Please don’t,” I said, almost pleading. “I value my life.”
The flight attendants began their pre-flight safety spiel, and I turned the camera off, settling in for the long haul. As we took off, I watched the city below disappear, feeling the thrill of our adventure truly begin.
“Alright, Croatia, here we come,” I whispered to the camera, the excitement building as we soared into the skies. The journey was far from over, but we were finally on our way.
The plane slowly ascended into the sky, and as we reached cruising altitude, I leaned back in my seat and sighed contentedly. The excitement of the trip was finally setting in, and it felt like everything that had led us to this point—the long airport waits, the TSA drama, the anticipation—was worth it.
Hamzah, now properly settled into his seat, had his eyes closed, clearly aiming to catch some much-needed sleep. I pulled out my headphones and plugged them into the in-flight entertainment system, scrolling through movies.
I turned the camera back on, whispering into it. “Alright, so we’ve officially left the ground, and we’re heading to Croatia! No more airport stress… now, it’s just us, some questionable airplane food, and a very long flight ahead.”
I shifted in my seat, adjusting my legs to get comfortable. “This is when I start wondering if airplane seats were designed by people who hate comfort,” I muttered to the camera. “Seriously, how is this supposed to be comfortable?”
Mandy chuckled from the row across the aisle. “You should be lucky we’re not in economy plus. Those seats are even worse.”
Martin was already trying to take a nap, leaning his head back with his neck pillow on. “I’m just here for the free snacks,” he mumbled, clearly not bothered by the seat situation.
Hamzah cracked an eye open. “Speaking of snacks, I’m pretty sure this plane only has pretzels. I’m going to lose it.”
“Just let it go, man,” I said, turning the camera to him. “We can survive on pretzels for a few hours.”
Hamzah groaned dramatically. “The things I do for this trip.”
I laughed, flipping the camera around to show the view outside the window. “But seriously, look at that view! Croatia, we’re coming for you!”
As the flight continued, I tried to settle in for a nap, but I couldn’t help but keep thinking about the days ahead. This trip was going to be one for the books—no doubt about it.
The flight attendants started making their rounds with drink carts, and I grabbed my phone to snap a picture of the small snacks they were handing out. “Alright, guys, this is the real in-flight luxury,” I said to the camera, holding up my tiny pack of pretzels. “It’s the little things that count.”
Hamzah looked at me, raising an eyebrow. “You’re filming everything, huh?”
“Yup, every moment counts,” I said, grinning. “You never know when one of us is going to embarrass ourselves again.”
“Can we make it through the flight without another disaster?” Hamzah asked, his voice mock-serious. “Or will the universe decide it’s my turn to be publicly humiliated again?”
I turned the camera back on him, smiling widely. “We’ll find out, won’t we?”
The rest of the flight was a blur of movies, snacks, and a few more rounds of laughter as we all settled into our routines for the long journey. As the hours passed, I caught myself imagining the adventures that awaited us in Croatia, knowing this was just the beginning.
Finally, the captain’s voice crackled over the intercom, announcing that we would be landing soon. I turned the camera back on. “Alright, guys, get ready. Croatia, here we come!”
As the plane began its descent, I looked out the window, my excitement growing with each passing minute. The sun was starting to dip low in the sky, casting a golden glow over the land below.
“Alright, guys, we’re almost there!” I said into the camera, still grinning like an excited kid. “Croatia, we’re coming for you, and we’re about to make some memories.”
Hamzah, who had been dozing off, stretched in his seat. “I can’t believe we’re actually here. I feel like I’ve been waiting forever for this.”
I nodded. “It’s gonna be amazing. You’ll forget all about TSA and pretzels when we’re exploring the streets of Dubrovnik.”
Mandy turned toward us, holding her phone up to check the time. “We’ll have just enough time to grab a quick dinner before hitting the streets, right?”
Martin, still half-asleep, grumbled from the other side of the aisle. “Just give me some food and a bed, and I’m good.”
The plane touched down smoothly, and I heard a collective exhale of relief from everyone. The captain’s voice came over the intercom again, welcoming us to Dubrovnik.
“We made it,” I said, pulling my camera back up. “Welcome to Croatia, y’all! Time to make the most of this adventure.”
As we stood up and retrieved our carry-ons from the overhead bins, Hamzah leaned over. “Can we just skip the customs line and go straight to the fun stuff?”
I smirked. “Sorry, buddy. First, we’ve got to go through the boring stuff, and then we can have all the fun we want.”
We exited the plane and made our way toward the terminal, the air fresh with the scent of the sea as we stepped outside into the warm evening. The cool breeze and the buzz of excitement around us made everything feel so real.
We breezed through customs, and before we knew it, we were standing in the airport lobby, looking for a taxi to take us to our hotel.
“Alright, now the real fun begins,” I said, pointing the camera at the bustling streets outside. “First stop—food, then we’ll explore a little before calling it a night.”
Hamzah was already scrolling through his phone. “I need something heavy. Maybe some Croatian seafood to kick things off?”
Martin perked up. “I’m in for that.”
“Guess I’ll be eating seafood too, then,” Mandy chimed in, laughing. “What kind of friends would we be if we didn’t eat together?”
We piled into a taxi, and as we drove through the city, I turned the camera around, showing the stunning coastline and historic buildings that dotted the streets. The evening lights were just starting to come on, and everything felt like a dream.
“Look at this place,” I said, capturing it all on video. “We’re not in Canada anymore, folks. Dubrovnik is beautiful, and I can already tell we’re going to have an unforgettable time here.”
Hamzah, still looking at his phone, shot me a sideways glance. “You’ve been saying that about every place we’ve been so far. I hope it’s not all talk.”
I smirked. “You’ll see. It’s gonna be epic.”
We pulled up to the hotel, and as we checked in, I couldn’t help but feel the excitement building again. The adventure had officially begun, and there was so much to look forward to. As we walked into our rooms to drop off our bags
We dropped our bags off in the rooms, and as we reconvened in the lobby, the energy was palpable. Everyone was buzzing with excitement and anticipation, and the city outside was calling our names.
Mandy grabbed my arm, her eyes lighting up. “So, where are we going first? Do you have a place in mind or should we just wander and see what happens?”
I grinned, pulling out my phone to check some recommendations I’d jotted down earlier. “I say we start with the Old Town. It’s supposed to be beautiful at night, and I’ve heard the views from the city walls are to die for. Plus, there’s a ton of great food around.”
Martin, always ready to eat, rubbed his hands together. “Food? I’m in.”
Hamzah, now feeling slightly more awake, raised an eyebrow. “If there’s seafood involved, I’m not complaining.”
I led the way outside, our footsteps echoing on the cobblestone streets as we made our way toward the historic Old Town. The city felt alive with a vibrant energy—people laughing, music drifting from nearby bars, and the occasional clink of glasses.
“Look at this place,” I said, holding the camera up as we walked. The orange-tiled roofs of the buildings stood out against the fading blue of the sky, and lanterns were starting to light up, casting a warm glow on the streets. “This is what I’m talking about. It’s like stepping into a postcard.”
We wandered down narrow alleys lined with cafes and shops, the scent of fresh seafood and grilled meats making our stomachs growl. The atmosphere was magical—like we were in another world, far removed from anything we’d known.
“Okay, this looks perfect,” I said, stopping in front of a small seafood restaurant with a terrace overlooking the harbor. The gentle sound of the waves against the shore was the perfect soundtrack.
Hamzah was already scanning the menu. “That’s it, I’m getting the whole catch of the day. Let’s do this right.”
Mandy laughed. “Are you going to eat the whole thing by yourself?”
“Watch me,” Hamzah said confidently. “Seafood is my spirit animal.”
We found a table outside, and soon, the waiter arrived to take our orders. The meal was incredible—fresh fish, grilled shrimp, and so much more. As the sun dipped lower and the sky turned into a stunning canvas of purple and orange, we dug in, sharing bites and laughing about everything that had led us to this moment.
“So, what’s next after dinner?” Martin asked, taking a sip of his wine.
I looked around, the city lights reflecting off the water. “I say we walk along the city walls. It’s supposed to be an amazing view, and there’s no better way to end our first night here.”
Hamzah raised his glass. “As long as we’re not climbing a million steps, I’m down.”
Mandy raised her eyebrows. “You’re not getting out of this that easily. You knew what you signed up for.”
After we finished dinner, we paid the bill and made our way to the entrance of the city walls. The climb was a bit steep, but the views made every step worth it. From the top, we could see the entire city spread out below us, the terracotta roofs bathed in the soft light of the streetlamps, and the Adriatic Sea stretching out beyond.
“Wow, this is unreal,” I said, my voice filled with awe as I filmed the breathtaking scene.
Hamzah looked out at the view, his earlier grumpiness replaced with wonder. “Okay, I take back everything I said about the steps. This is amazing.”
We spent the next hour walking along the walls, taking in the history and beauty of the place. The city looked like something out of a dream, and it felt like we were in our own little world.
As we descended back into the city, I turned the camera back on. “First night in Croatia, and it’s already been unforgettable. Can’t wait to see what else this place has in store for us.”
We all nodded, feeling the magic of the city take hold. It was the perfect start to what promised to be an epic trip.
laughing and talking about everything from travel mishaps to plans for the next day, I couldn’t help but feel grateful. This was exactly what I’d been hoping for—an unforgettable adventure with the best people by my side.
The day had been long, but full of laughter and excitement. Now, as the night settled in, everything around us grew quieter. The bustling city of Dubrovnik seemed miles away as we entered our hotel room, ready to unwind.
I slipped off my shoes and stretched, feeling the tension in my muscles slowly ease. Hamzah was rummaging through his suitcase, trying to find his favorite pair of comfy shorts. He looked over at me and raised an eyebrow.
“Long day, huh?” he said with a smirk, his voice teasing.
“Tell me about it,” I replied, kicking off my shoes and making my way toward the bathroom. “I’m ready to crash.”
He chuckled and nodded, disappearing into the bathroom to change as well. I closed the door behind me, taking a moment to look at my reflection in the mirror. The excitement of the day had left me feeling both energized and exhausted at the same time. It felt nice to take a break, to just relax for a little while.
I stripped off my clothes and slipped into a soft pair of shorts and a loose, oversized tee, the fabric cool against my skin. I washed my face quickly, taking in the small, peaceful moment before heading back out to the bedroom.
Hamzah was already sitting on the bed, his hair slightly messy from running his hands through it, looking relaxed and content in his own comfy clothes. He glanced up when I entered, his eyes lighting up with that familiar warmth that always made my heart flutter.
“Looking cozy,” he teased, patting the spot next to him on the bed.
I walked over, plopping down beside him. “Just trying to make it through the night without falling asleep on you,” I said with a grin.
Hamzah chuckled, pulling the covers back and getting comfortable. “You know I’d be fine with that,” he said, his voice soft as he leaned back. “But we’ve got a whole trip ahead of us. I’m not letting you sleep on me this early.”
I rolled my eyes playfully, but a smile tugged at my lips. “I’ll keep that in mind.”
As I settled in beside him, he reached out, his fingers lightly brushing mine. His touch was always so comforting, so sure. I turned toward him, my head resting against the pillow, and met his gaze.
“You’re really not going to fall asleep on me first?” he teased, his voice warm, and there was a playful spark in his eyes.
I laughed softly, leaning over to press a quick kiss to his lips. “Not tonight,” I murmured against his mouth. “Tonight, we sleep.”
Hamzah wrapped an arm around me, pulling me closer, his chin resting gently on top of my head. “Good,” he whispered, his voice quiet and content. “Just you and me.”
I snuggled closer into his embrace, the steady rhythm of his breathing soothing me as I began to drift off. The city outside was silent now, and everything felt peaceful. It was just us—no distractions, no rush. I closed my eyes, letting the warmth of his presence lull me to sleep.
As I drifted off into the night, I couldn’t help but smile. Tomorrow would be another day full of adventures, but for now, this was enough.

MAMMY'S GIRL - mcfoord
mcfoord x child!reader | a snippet of a chaotic travel day
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“don’t run too fast now kid, stay with me.” your auntie teyah huffed, gripping onto the reins attached to your beloved ‘special’ backpack for dear life as you charged your way through the airport, with an alarming amount of strength for a just turned three year old - giggling as she visibly struggled to keep up with you.
bringing their toddler on an over twenty hour flight to the other side of the world for one football game was potentially the last thing on earth that your mothers had wanted to do.
however, with both of them being named in the squad for the friendly in australia, and your auntie ella barely being trusted to look after coopurr on her own - here they were.
katie cackled as teyah accepted defeat against you after tripping over her feet one too many times, shaking her head and letting you be scooped up by no other than kyra, who repeatedly threw you in the air and proceeded to chase poor steph most of the way to the gate with you in tow, making you squeal with laughter, and caitlin wince ever so slightly - knowing that after katie flew back to ireland for international break she’d be stuck with this alone.
getting to the plane with everyone in one piece alone felt like a win in their eyes, even as you clambered all over vic and pulled at teyah’s compression leggings (copying exactly what kyra had told you to do) and then dropped alessia’s phone down the side of her seat beyond reach within the first five minutes.
steph had pretty much been following your every move for her little vlog that she was doing, knowing that the fans always loved seeing bits of you and the chaos that ensured, and also - that nobody not present would believe the stories of everything you got up to without video proof.
you toddled behind her as she made her way down the aisle, stopping as you reached your parents.
“c’mere then, my little monster. it’s sleep time for you”
you allowed katie to scoop you up into her arms with no fuss whatsoever, instantly being calmed as she held you to her chest.
and with your dummy being passed over by caitlin, and a featherlight stroke of your cheek - you were out like a light in seconds, bundled in your mother’s arms, and looking so peaceful that it was almost hard to believe how much carnage you'd been causing for the last few hours.
“how do you do it? she was just charging around like she’d never settle - you’re a miracle worker!” steph exclaimed, looking into the camera in complete disbelief at what she’d just witnessed.
“nah, she’s just a mammy’s girl through and through!” katie chuckled, smoothing the back of your mini arsenal jersey as you sprawled out on top of her, praying that the rest of the flight goes this smoothly.

this is what i like to call a random little blurb because i had no inspiration to finish it
in the process of setting up a masterlist finally

Here for something with Mr Lenney pls🙏🏼
Spent the evening binging his react to Love Island vids and now just wanna be sat in the sun on holiday with him. Maybe a group holiday with other YouTube lads and they’re all single so it’s reader on a lads holiday essentially but Will does little things like making her breakfast, taking her on little dates away from the lads (particularly if their all hungover from partying the night before), napping together before getting ready for dinner (also together). Idk that’s all just suggestions, I just want Will on holiday, by the ocean and in the sun so I can fulfill my willne and moana dreams at once so do anything you like with that!! ☀️🌺🥥
ohhh, that's so cuteeee! this is definitely someting we can talk more on! the scenario of the boys being on holiday, in any of the stories, has me weak.
she considers herself 'one of the lads'.
the lads consider her as 'one of the lads'.
whenever they hang out, they always made sure to invite her so she didn't feel left out and they always made her feel welcomed into the group by including her in conversations, letting her partake in any of their silly drinking games that they played, and they let their softer side to come out when teasing her - no horrid nicknames that made her feel small or belittled, no taking the piss out of her when she did something or said something that they found funny, no singling her out for their own humour and for the benefit of their out laughter. she was like a little sister to them; and she always felt comfortable and safe around them.
so, of course she was going to be invited to their annual trip abroad.
much to her excitement... and much to will's liking.
four months is how long they'd been secretly 'seeing' each other.
they weren't scared of what their friends would say about them being a couple... if anything, they'd be over the moon knowing that their two friends were finding happiness with each other. they just enjoyed the secrecy of no one having a clue that they were spending time together, alone, on the days that they'd not all hang out together.
sending silly and flirtatious texts every so often when they missed the other, staying over at each other's flats most nights of the week and spending their days off together, going on secret dates in the parts of london they knew they'd never get seen, and keeping calm and very collected when they were out together to not give anything away.
wedged between calfreezy and chip on the flight to croatia, because cal had insisted he had the aisle seat so he could stretch out his legs and chip hadn't been willing to sit anywhere but in the window seat... as much as she wished she was sat beside will, who was in the row of seats to her right and squeezed in between harry and chris, she was happy to have had some peace and quiet and some time away from the geordie accent she'd been listening to for the last twenty-four hours. having stayed at his place the night before they were due to fly from heathrow airport, the two of them insisting it was easier to get picked up from the same place and go together opposed to her being a solo traveler to meet the rest of them at the airport since she lived the furthest away... although, that's what they told the boys... which they were surprised they'd understood as a valid reason.
reev and callux, and theo baker in the middle of them, were sat in the row behind her and she could hear them either talking to a camera as they vlogged their trip away or informing their instagram followers on how they'd pulled the short straw in sitting next to theo for the next few hours. much to her amusement.
once they landed, heading straight to the villa that they'd rented for the next ten days, the lot of them were eager to get settled in before heading out to find a supermarket for their necessities and to scope out the local bars and restaurants that they were going to spend their nights in. all yn wanted was a shower, and her cleansing products, as the plane air felt sticky and gross on her skin.
with their rooms dibsed by the time they walked through the front door, their suitcases and bags thrown on the beds to claim them as their own, it didn't take long for the boys to ready themselves with a spray of their deodorant and a spritz of aftershave and a splash of water to their faces to clear the sweat building from the humidity.
much to yn's appreciation, who wanted the shower first.
she stood in her room once she was feeling fresh, having stood under the shower head from a couple of minutes so she felt cooler and a lot more cleaner, air drying as she rummaged through her suitcase for a more suitable outfit for taking a walk in the twenty-degree heat.
"just give us a text when you're ready. we'll go find a good lunch spot. i think we're all starving," calfreezy's voice echoed around the empty villa and yn couldn't help but pinch her brows together in confusion as to who he was speaking to, "no going to sleep for six hours. the jetlag is nothing."
"you have my word."
it was will's voice that echoed back and there was a tingle in her belly that made her feel weak at the knees. and when the door closed, the voices of the guys trailing off in the distance as they made their way down the main road outside their villa, it wasn't long before she heard his footsteps rushing up the stairs. his shoes scuffing the cool and tiled floor which lined every room in the house.
"what do you reckon? an hour to ourselves before they get suspicious of us?" will questions as he steps foot around the door to her room and sees her standing in her towel, "was hoping to hop in with you, save water and all that."
"you snooze, you lose," yn grins cheekily at him and he rolls his eyes in a dramatised fashion, "i was fine meeting you guys in the town, you know? it's not that far of a walk for me to do by myself in daylight."
"i know but i wanted to keep you company here," he perches himself down on the edge of her bed and watches as she pulls out different articles of clothing to see if they went together, "fancy going out for dinner one night this week? me and you?"
"won't the guys get a bit suspicious if we go off together?"
"i don't really care," he admits and she glances at him, "what?"
"nothing, i just," she sighs softly and sets a pair of denim shorts and a cropped white t-shirt on her bed, pairing it with an oversized shirt that was decorated with stripes that she was going to wear over the top and knot at the front, "i like the sneaking around. the enjoyment and the excitement of almost being caught. all that goes out of the window when they know."
"but we could kiss and hold hands in public," he reminds her and she drops the towel to her feet, her underwear already clinging to her skin having done that when she got out the shower, "we could be a proper couple."
"are we not now?"
"of course we are," he laughs softly, "but i get to show you off. i get to bat away the boys who stare at you and not sit back and get jealous because we have to pretend not to have any feelings whatsoever. i get to brag about you."
the room is filled with silence as she slips her clothes on and finishes off getting ready, pairing her outfit with a pair of nike socks and her comfortable white trainers, but she can't ignore the eyes that watch her from her bed.
"the last night," she suggests, "we'll find a place, we'll dine, we'll wine and we'll come clean to the boys."
"yeah?"
"yeah," she nods and he grins widely, standing to his feet and pressing a kiss to her forehead, "if they find out before then they find out before but... yeah, the last night of our holiday should go out with a bang."
"a bang i can get behind," he smirks and she smacks his arm playfully with the palm of her hand, "i'm sorry, i'm sorry." xx

Dating Matt but Nick and Chris make you stay over at their house because when Matt’s at your place they don’t anyone to drive them places
UBER
Matt Sturniolo x Fem!reader
Today was Sunday, I had just gotten back from a long travel day and was driving to my boyfriend, Matts house. Matt was my lifesaver, we met when we were 14; he saw me sitting on the floor near the girls restroom when he had come out of class to go to the toilet.
I was sat crying, going into a panic attack because I couldn't do the work that my maths teacher gave me, he rushed up to me, held me and comforted me despite having no idea who was.
After he calmed me down, he helped me figure out the work and told me that he often experienced anxiety too. When lunch came around, he introduced me to his triplet brothers, Nick, and Chris. From that day on, all four of us were inseparable.
In junior year, we had both developed a crush on each other; he put flowers in my locker with a note asking me out on Valentine's day, and who was I to say no? So, we began to go on dates, and on the 3rd date he asked me if he could be my boyfriend.
Three years later, we were in a healthy and happy relationship. We had organised a movie night with me, Matt, Nick, Chris, and Nate so that Nick and Chris werent 3rd and 4th wheeling. I got out of my car after finally arriving to the triplets' house and grabbed my keys out of my pocket.
Matt had given me a key to their house when they moved to L.A a year ago so that i could let myself in, sometimes i would have trouble sleeping at night so i would drive over to the triplets house, Matt knew I did it to help me sleep at night so it never bothered him when he would wake up to me cuddled up at the side of him.
lunlocked the door and stepped into the house, Matt must have heard me pulling up because as soon as stepped foot in the doorway, he nearly knocked me over with a bone crushing hug.
" missed you baby, how was Boston?" he asked, his speech slightly muffled due to his head being nuzzled into my neck. I laughed, kissing his cheek
"it was good, I missed you too. How have things been while I was away?”
He groaned, pulling away from me *hell, imagine having to babysit two 20-year-old toddlers." Nick walked up from behind him *just because you have to have everything clean all the time Mr.
Perfect" he rolled his eyes pulling me in for a hug
"it's good to have you back y/n, this moron hasn't stopped whining since we dropped you off at the airport." | laughed again at the brothers' antics.
"you guys need to come next time, I bumped into Marylou at the store, she said that the next time I go to Boston I need to drag you by the hair to come with me." I told them, they smiled.
"Were planning to go next month, you'll be coming with us of course" Matt spoke. "Hurry up guys I wanna start the movie!" Chris whined from upstairs. I rolled my eyes playfully at his dramatics, walking up the stairs with Matt and Nick following my lead.
Chris got up and ran to me as I came up the stairs. He jumped up and wrapped his legs around me like a monkey (like he did to nick in the vlog ages ago) as I let out a strained groan. Matt laughed and pried Chris off me. I giggled a bit and hugged Chris normally, despite there only being a few months of an age difference between me and the triplets, Chris was like a little brother to me.
He could be the biggest nuisance, but that was what made him so loveable. Matt never had a problem with us being close because he knew that we never thought about each other that way, and he knew that me and Chris were strictly platonic. " missed you sis he said, a toothy grin on his face as he pulled away from the hug. « missed you too kid, what are we watching?" | asked him, and he suddenly got more excited "we bought the new ninja turtles movie"
TIME SKIP
We spent around 2 hours on the couch together, watching the movie and eating our weight in Wingstop. Nate left around half way through, saying that he didn't want to wake up his mom by coming home too late. Once the movie was over, I
#I'm gonna head home guys, I'm exhausted from travelling" I said to them. Matt stood up after me
*I'lI take you home, I'll probably just end up staying at yours anyway. Chris immediately protested.
“No matt, I have to go to a meeting tomorrow morning, and I need you to drive me" he whined.
"I'm not an uber Chris, either walk or order one." he whined again "y/n, please stay over. I hate taking Ubers, they are too expensive" nick then decided to join the conversation. "I also need to go to target tomorrow” he spoke in a tone that said ‘you better drive me.’
laughed at their desperateness "why don't you guys just hurry up and get your licence? But fine, I'll stay over if matt is okay with it" I turned to look at matt who was standing behind me, silently asking him if he was okay with me sleeping in his room for the night.
"of course, I'm sorry about them" he smiled apologetically at me "it's okay, your bed is comfier anyway" | smiled, running away into his room, and jumping on the bed.
I heard him speaking to Chris, asking him what time he needed to be at the meeting. a few minutes later, I smiled at him as he came through the door of his room, shutting it behind him. "I'm gonna go for a shower and then I'II come to bed" | told him.
He smiled and nodded as he opened his drawer to take out a pair of sweatpants to sleep in "okay, are you just gonna sleep in one of my shirts? I have your spare underwear in my drawer." | nodded at him "yeah, I'II be like 15 minutes, and I'II be done" he nodded.
I went into the bathroom and closed the door. I took a quick shower, before getting out and wrapping the towel around me and opening the door.
I walked over to the drawer that I kept all my spare things in for when I stayed here and grabbed a pair of underwear along with the t-shirt matt had left out for me. I slipped them on, before getting under the duvet and putting my phone on charge.
Matt smiled at me, pulling me in to him as he put his phone down. "Goodnight baby" he spoke, kissing my forehead "Goodnight love" I buried my face into his chest, falling asleep in minutes.
A/n: sorry this is so short, but first one shot done. I'm so scared to publish this 😭
